MAPFRE Stadium was the country’s first soccer-specific stadium, with its first game in May 1999 drawing more than 24,000 fans for a 2-0 win over the New England Revolution. From thrilling Columbus Blue Jackets hockey games to major concerts, Nationwide Arena is a major destination for good times in Columbus, Ohio. Just 13 miles away from our hotel, this unique sports and entertainment venue features two 80’ towers with house party suites on the western interior, a 70’ glass-enclosed atrium, open lobbies and concourses offering great views of the ice as soon as you walk through the door, a 135’ light tower at the southeast corner and an elegant design with terrazzo floors, brick pillars and marble details.
